Dr. Meghan Marcum is a board-certified clinical psychologist and serves as Chief Psychologist and Clinical Director at True Recovery. She earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Arizona State University and a doctorate in clinical psychology from The American School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University. She completed her pre and post-doctoral training in the specialty field of chemical dependency and has also achieved specialized training in treating traumatic disorders with eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR). Dr. Marcum previously worked in the Neurosciences Institute at Hoag Hospital in Newport Beach, California where she continues to hold privileges.

About Dr. Marcum
Dr. Marcum began her career in Behavioral Health as a behavioral health technician. Her practicum experience was with adolescents in a forensic setting. There she recognized the importance of understanding the role of substance use and co-occurring disorders. Dr. Marcum served as the Director of Clinical Excellence and Chief Psychologist at mental health facilities with all levels of care before coming to True Recovery. When not at True, Dr. Marcum enjoys cooking and time at the beach.
