Support Staff

Non-exempt, salary

Job Description:

Support Staff primary function is to ensure that the facility operates smoothly, safely and securely. He/she is responsible for ensuring compliance with program guidelines, assessing participant needs and monitoring behavior while at the program, documenting and communicating that behavior, and ultimately caring for the participants.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough participant intake and orientation for those new to the facility, being sure to include safety supplies and policies and available reporting options, in a manner which the participant fully understands, ensuring that each participant feels safe, informed, and welcome.
  • Enforce rules and regulations in accordance with the participant handbook and company policies and procedures to ensure the participants have a safe and comfortable environment in which to recover.
  • Provide safe transportation for participants in accordance with the Transportation Safety Guide and Procedures to ensure safe and timely arrival to and from groups, individual therapy, meetings, and outside appointments in accordance with the daily schedule.
  • Ensure overall participant and staff safety by conducting consistent and thorough inspections of vehicles and properties in accordance with company policy and procedure.
  • Maintain consistent, accurate, and thorough communication with supervisors and appropriate clinicians regarding participant behaviors, concerns, etc., sometimes aiding clinicians in crisis intervention or utilizing de-escalation techniques, to provide the highest quality of care.
  • Assist with the collection of urinalysis or blood alcohol tests to maintain participant accountability.
  • Attend all required meetings and trainings.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Ability to read, write, and speak the English language
  • Current CPR and First Aid Certification
  • Current Tuberculosis test
  • Acceptance onto the company’s vehicle insurance

Competencies:

Therapist

Exempt salary

The Therapist is responsible for conducting assessments, treatment planning, counseling, multidisciplinary treatment team consultation and coordination of recovery program services. Therapists motivate clients to actively participate in their therapeutic program, facilitate implementation, presentation, evaluation and revision of treatment plans, and facilitate/present educational programs to clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual therapy on a consistent basis with assigned clients, utilizing bio-psychosocial assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes, according to company policies and procedures to ensure highest quality of care.
  • Plan and facilitate group therapy, according to the clinical schedule, that is understandable by clients and aligns with treatment plans to ensure effective services are provided.
  • Work with each client in establishing an aftercare plan that will set him/her up for greatest success upon discharge from the program.
  • Be available on-call on specified nights and weekends, according to the company’s schedule, to provide services such as crisis intervention or discharge blocking, as needed.
  • Maintain regular contact with families, outside clinicians, and referring parties (as appropriate) to ensure continuity of care.
  • Complete all required documentation in a timely and accurate manner in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Attend and participate in all trainings, meetings, and supervision groups as required by the clinical department.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Qualified credentialed therapist with current licensure provided by the State of California
  • Two years’ experience working in a clinical setting providing treatment to clients with substance use disorder
  • Current CPR and First Aid Certification
  • Valid DHCS Health Screening
  • Valid TB Screening

LVN

Non-exempt, hourly

The LVN will provide recovery focused services related to the safe and appropriate administration of medical treatment (including medications) as prescribed by the Health Care Practitioner. The LVN will be responsible to provide safe, effective, and efficient implementation of direct care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and standards of care.

Responsibilities:

    • Provide nursing care and assist in the welcoming, admission, and discharge process for residents
    • Transcribe physician orders accurately and in a timely manner
    • Monitor self-administration of medication and treatment to residents
    • Accurately assess degree of detoxification by utilizing methods such as CIWA and COWS to monitor for over sedation or medical emergencies
    • Respond to emergencies and initiate action as outlined in company policies and procedures
    • Maintain communication with supervisor, Health Care Practitioner, and/or other key staff regarding resident care
    • Perform necessary duties for monitoring the health status of residents per company policies and procedures
    • Ensure resident compliance with facility rules and guidelines
    • Other duties as assigned


Minimum Requirements:

    • Current LVN License in the state of California
    • 1 years’ clinical nursing experience, preferably in substance abuse treatment
    • CPR and First Aid certification required

Competencies:

Clinical Outreach Manager

Exempt Salary

The Clinical Outreach Manager is responsible for the planning and execution of the marketing strategy and activities of the organization with regards to professional referral relationships. The primary responsibility of this role is to generate revenue by increasing sales through successful marketing for the entire organization, using market research, industry contacts, program and service marketing, marketing communications, advertising, and public relations.  The Clinical Outreach Manager ensures the organization’s message is distributed across industry channels and to targeted audiences to meet the revenue objectives of the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Impact the profitability of the company through ensuring strategic and tactical management decisions and new business development results.
  • Monitor the environment for new marketing opportunities, working closely with the Executive Management Team to take advantage of those opportunities that align with the organization’s mission and vision.
  • Work with Executive Management and other key staff members on analyzing and utilizing critical data to continuously improve services and communicate the latest improvements to all prospective clients, his/her family members, and other providers in the organization’s network.
  • Identify, attend, and represent the company at industry related events and conferences in a manner which accurately reflects the values of the company.
  • Prudently manage revenues within budgetary guidelines according to company policy and within ethical corporate government guidelines.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Psychology/Behavioral Health
  • Behavioral health license or certification (CADC, LAADC, LMFT etc.)

Behavioral Health Technician

Non-exempt, hourly

The Behavioral Health Technician will provide care and services at the detox and residential levels of care. S/he will help the Health Care Practitioner and LVNs by carrying out residents’ treatment plans. The Behavioral Health Technician will be responsible to provide safe, effective, and efficient implementation of direct care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and standards of care.

Responsibilities:

    • Aid in conducting new resident initial assessments and providing orientation to new residents
    • Assess and document residents’ needs and care, collaborating with other staff to manage resident care
    • Ensure infection control practices and reporting procedures are implemented and maintained
    • Respond to emergencies and initiate action as outlined in company policies and procedures
    • Perform basic health screenings, vital signs, and first aid procedures, as necessary, according to company guidelines and policies and procedures including IMS services.
    • Conduct urinalysis test collection according to company policies and procedures
    • Maintain communication with LVNs, supervisor, Health Care Practitioner, and/or other key staff regarding resident care
    • Support program staff with resident de-escalation and crisis management in a manner which fully supports the needs of the resident
    • Provide rounds support during initial detoxification and document accordingly as per company policies and procedures and Department of Health Care Services standards.
    • Provide additional support within the six categories of IMS where applicable.
    • Support residents with self-administration of medications
    • Provide transportation when appropriate

We are looking for an Admissions & Marketing Coordinator to join our rapidly growing team. The Admissions & Marketing Coordinator will have responsibilities such as calculating and increasing return on investment, ensuring follow through on sales opportunities, optimizing paid media campaigns, working with the finance team on accounts payable, and will assist with business operations and increasing efficiency across all Marketing processes.

Licensed Therapist

True Recovery, Full-time

We are seeking: an experienced, communicative, and compassionate therapist to join our team and support the physical, emotional, and mental well-being of our clients. In this role, you will work directly with clients to actively listen to problems and concerns and suggest healthy and productive ways of coping with those issues.

This position is responsible for conducting assessments, treatment planning, counseling, multidisciplinary treatment team consultation and coordination of recovery program services. Therapists motivate clients to actively participate in their therapeutic program, facilitate implementation, presentation, evaluation, and revision of treatment plans, and facilitate/present educational programs to clients.

The Therapist role reports directly to the Clinical Director, contributing to the objectives of True Behavioral Health and its mission. While providing individual, group and family therapy, this Licensed Marriage and Family therapist participates in interdisciplinary treatment planning and client-centered care and treatment.

Responsibilities:

  • Conducts individual, group and family therapy
  • Establishes positive and trusting relationships with clients and their families
