While we don’t have detox programs onsite, we can help you find a licensed Orange County detox center to start your recovery journey. We can help you make these arrangements and will facilitate your care at these centers.
During detox, you’ll work with a doctor or nurse who will help you taper off the substance that is being abused, as well as manage withdrawal symptoms. Most detox centers provide their patients with 24-hour access to care and you will also meet with therapists throughout detox to handle your physical and emotional changes.
After your detox treatment, you are ready to begin the process of recovery. From there, we’ll help ensure that your transition from the detox center to our facility is a smooth one.
We accept many insurance policies, including Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, United Healthcare, Aetna, and Humana. Your insurance company will usually refer you to the cheapest in-network option for them; however most PPO insurance policies with out-of-network substance abuse benefits cover much, if not all, of the costs associated with our treatment programs.
We believe that addiction recovery is a lifestyle, not just a session. Echoing this mission, we provide our patients with the individualized support and care they need. Unlike other rehab facilities, we limit ourselves on the number of cases we take on, meaning that each patient has a much more intimate recovery process. Together, we identify your goals and find the exact combination of therapeutic techniques and life skills necessary to meet them. With our customized approach, treatment starts on day one of your True Recovery journey.
Compared to other facilities in Orange County, at True Recovery you can build a treatment plan that includes everything from acupuncture to tai chi to art therapy. We even offer our very own music program, Rock to Recovery, where patients work together as a band to write and record their own song with the help of professional musicians.
Our treatment models ignite real transformations through advanced psychological and psychiatric techniques and evidence-based therapies. With our staff to client ratio of 2 to 1, you’ll get the individualized care that you deserve.
True Recovery is an extended care program, with an average length of stay of 60 to 90 days. This may be shorter or longer depending on your recent treatment history, our staff’s recommendation for your treatment plan, and other needs.
The cost of treatment can vary quite a bit based on a number of things, including whether you have insurance that covers our levels of care. With insurance, the cost to you may be nothing, or you may have a remaining deductible or copay. Without insurance, our program is still very reasonably priced. Depending on your needs and level of care, the cost to you may be as low as $5,500 per month. Taking the first step in getting help for your loved one is often nerve-wracking, but it’s important to get help both for them and for those around them. Some friends and family members find that interventions, or gatherings to discuss the person’s addiction, are extremely beneficial and an important step in getting help. An intervention might come after you’ve identified the warning signs of substance abuse and addiction.
To help you get started, we have highly-trained interventionists and counselors on call ready to set up this important encounter. When interventions are done with a professional interventionist, 90% of people make a commitment to get help, according to the National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence. And while some individuals may refuse help at the time of an intervention, they may seek it at a later date.
As a friend or family member of someone struggling with addiction, you have the power to help and your support plays a vital role in your loved one’s recovery. For more information about intervention services, contact us today at 844-744-8783.
Identifying the signs of substance abuse and addiction is the first step in getting help. There are many signs to look out for, including both physical and emotional changes.
Look for these signs when identifying substance abuse:
- Personality changes, such as increased irritability
- Major changes in sleep patterns, including sleeping too much and sleeping too little. Some drugs, like meth, keep users up for days at a time
- Noticeable increases or decreases in weight
- Physical characteristics, like bloodshot eyes, bad breath, shakes, bloody noses, rotten teeth and dull skin
- Loss of interest in old hobbies
- Borrowing and stealing money
- Withdrawal symptoms such as sweating, headaches, depression, or fever
All of these are signs of substance abuse and addiction and identifying them will help you and your family get the treatment you need.
True Recovery can work with most insurance plans utilizing your out-of-network benefits. To verify your coverage for our program, all we need is your name, date of birth and the information from the front and back of your insurance card; this includes your full name, member ID numbers, group number, and the 800 number for providers (usually found on the back side of the card). We can get all of the information from your insurance company that we need and often times, benefits can be verified within one hour of you contacting our team.
At True Recovery, we believe that clean living should address physical, mental, and emotional health. This is why at our treatment center, we provide a number of avenues to not only get clean, but also grow as an individual.
Your experience at True Recovery will vary based on the assistance you need. Many clients who have completed detox begin Extended Care Rehab, also called Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP). In this program, your treatment plan may involve 5 to 7 days a week of treatment, including personalized counseling, family therapy, daily group therapy, medication management, and more. Our connected sober living communities in Orange County provide a structured and supportive environment as you undergo treatment, increasing your chances of success.
Once you’ve met your goals in Extended Care Rehab, you would be considered for our intensive outpatient program (IOP). This type of treatment is ideal for those who don’t need a residential program, but are still committed to their addiction recovery. Outpatient clients devote a modest number of hours to recovery activities, including individual and group therapy, visiting the facility as needed and receiving structured support as they transition back into independent living.
Life at True Recovery is relaxing, inspiring, and focused on growth. Each patient’s day will differ, but one thing remains the same – the entire community at our treatment center is here to support your road to recovery.
At True Recovery, we seek to involve family when possible, as having that support system can be crucial to recovery. We structure family involvement to meet your individual needs, which may include group and one-on-one therapy, conference calls, family education, or simply regular check-ins.
Our team has some of the most highly-regarded designations and certifications in the industry, including Marriage and Family Therapists, Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine, and Certified Alcohol Drug Counselors. Plus, our staff understands the importance of holistic therapy, leading yoga for addiction therapy and other more physical holistic therapy types. This diverse range of experience allows us to provide customized care to our patients.
At True Recovery, we are a full-service rehabilitation center and offer many treatments that other facilities lack. Some of our most popular treatments include:
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a type of psychotherapy that addresses a person’s thoughts, circumstances, actions, and physical and mental feelings. It examines how all of these factors interact and affect the situations that the client is in. In an alternative rehab program such as True Recovery’s, CBT can help you better understand how these factors compel you to use alcohol or drugs. By making this connection, you can better identify problem thoughts or feelings and the situations that they cause.
Unfortunately, many individuals with substance addictions also suffer from mental illnesses. When you have both an addiction to drugs or alcohol and a mental disorder, it is called a dual-diagnosis or co-occurring disorders. Dual-diagnosis treatment centers allow you to get the help that you need, and at True Recovery, you can find a dual-diagnosis program to help you get your life back on track.
Holistic Addiction Therapy
When recovering from addiction, the goal is to relearn how to live a full and rewarding life without turning to drug or alcohol use. While traditional methods are often effective, the chance of a relapse can be further diminished when holistic treatments are integrated into your rehabilitation. Alternative therapies can play a key role in an individualized treatment plan, offering another mechanism for you to work through their addiction and avoid a relapse.
There are many options when it comes to finding the right substance abuse treatment facility for you. As you look at your options, make sure you’re answering these questions:
Is the staff here qualified and knowledgeable about the treatment plan that you need?
For example, you may need to undergo detoxification first, or you might be interested in more holistic treatment options. Do your research to determine how the facility and team can accommodate and assist you. (Learn more about True Recovery’s team here.)
Does the facility offer a variety of treatments?
Some centers, for example, only offer conventional 12-step programs, which may not work for everyone. A good substance abuse treatment facility will offer a variety of programs and plans, suited for different needs and recovery journeys.
Does the facility fit your individual needs?
Again, the answer to this will depend on if you need inpatient or outpatient treatment, would benefit from living in a sober living community, what kind of addiction you are struggling with, and so on. At True Recovery, we provide all our patients with customized treatment plans, compassionate care, and safe, comfortable programs.
Recovery or success rates can be very subjective and depend on you or your program’s exact definition of success. At True Recovery, our focus is on our clients developing a fulfilling life in all areas, including abstinence from substances. With a staff to client ratio of 2 to 1, we make sure that you get the attention and care you deserve as you work toward recovery. More than 90% of True Recovery participants successfully complete our programs.
Most rehabilitation programs are divided into two categories: inpatient treatment and outpatient treatment. Your program will depend on your substance addiction, past recovery journeys, and more.
Inpatient treatment is an intensive program where the patient lives at a treatment facility and works with their doctors, therapists, and other patients for the majority of the day.
Outpatient treatment is still focused on recovery and rehabilitation, but it is less intensive as the patient lives off-campus, either at home or in a sober living community, and comes to a treatment facility for a few hours a day. Outpatient therapy might be the next step for someone who has completed inpatient therapy.
One of the many things that sets True Recovery apart from other treatment centers is our ideal location. Located in sunny Newport Beach, California, our addiction treatment facilities look more like a resort than a medical center. We have therapy rooms with home furnishings, large group rooms where we hold collective activities, and individual therapy offices that offer confidentiality and comfort. And all of this is located right near beaches, shopping, and the famous Newport Back Bay Nature Preserve. The area provides a sense of tranquility and peace, which will help you rediscover your passions, set and achieve new goals, and gain the tools you need to live an addiction-free life.
